One of the most popular models of wheel blast equipment is a tumble blast unit. Tumble blast batch processing blasts all surfaces of components as they are exposed to the impact of the abrasive while parts are tumbled beneath the wheel on a rubber mill belt. Tumble blast machines are typically comprised of a rubber mill belt, but steel flighted versions are available for heavy, sharp or hot parts. Tumble Blasts are usually built for manual loading and unloading. Loaders and conveyors can be utilized to provide for more automated process.
Continuous tumble blast machines are also available. These in-line machines tumble parts through a tunnel by means of a rolling belt beneath a series of blast wheels.
